چکیده
Complex triaxial stress states are present in many reinforced concrete structures. These structures often analyzed using simple hand calculations based on methods designed for plane However, this can result designs that inefficient and excessive material usage. This paper introduces finite-element limit analysis (FELA) modeling of structures, with separate reinforcement a so far unseen scale. The method provides results the capacity as well state failure mechanism ultimate state. Finite Element Analysis of Bond for Reinforced Concrete Structures
A high-resolution finite element model is developed using the MSC.Marc software package to investigate local bond behavior and the modeling of this behavior. In the model, interaction between concrete and steel is treated geometrically as contact between two separate bodies. Concrete is modeled as a homogenous material. A multiple, fixed, smeared crack model is used to simulate response in tens...
متن کاملFinite Element Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Beams Exposed to Fire
Abstract: The practical implementation of performance-based fire safety design of reinforced concrete (RC) structures hinges on the availability of accurate numerical simulation tools for the behavior of RC members exposed to fire. This paper presents a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model for the accurate prediction of both the thermal and the mechanical behavior of RC beams expose...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Column Under Lateral Load
To serve its purpose a structure must be safe against collapse and serviceable in use. Serviceability requires that deflections be adequately small to keep the cracks within tolerable limits. Although the widely followed ACI Code suggests a detailed method of deflection calculation, it often cannot exactly perceive the actual behavior of a structure. For this purpose, finite element analysis, u...

in this paper the response of cantilevered reinforced concrete (rc) beams with smart rebars under static lateral loading has been numerically studied, using finite element method. the material used in this study is superelasticshape memory alloys (se smas) which contains nickel and titanium elements. the se sma is a unique alloy that has the ability to undergo large deformations and return to t...
